Single-Ply Membranes

Single ply roof systems are usually factory-manufactured panels made of thermoplastic and thermoset materials. Typically used for low-slope roof systems, single ply roofing membranes can be installed using various techniques including ballasted, full adhered, mechanically attached to an approved substrate or as a protected membrane roof.

 

Two-Ply Membranes

A Two-Ply torch-on membrane system consists of a fiberglass reinforced mat, or polyester mat sandwiched between two layers of rubberized asphalt.

These two ply roofing systems are very durable but must be professionally installed. An improperly installed torch on roof will likely fail within the first two years of use. Applicator quality is one of the only sure ways to eliminate costly replacement.
