Asphalt Roofing
Asphalt shingles are the most popular choice of residential roofing in Canada. They’re popular because of their relatively low cost and the wide variety of styles and colors that are available. Asphalt shingles can last anywhere from 30 to 50 years.
Torch-on Roofing
A Two-Ply torch-on membrane system consists of a fiberglass reinforced mat, or polyester mat sandwiched between two layers of rubberized asphalt. An improperly installed torch on roof will likely fail within the first two years of use. Applicator quality is one of the only sure ways to eliminate costly replacement.
